Far too frequently, the lack of empathy toward domestic violence victims is demonstrated. Far too often, I am reminded that officers don’t normally treat victims as well as they treated me.
I was lucky to be part of the public safety community. It is incredible how poorly victims are made to feel. Incredible.
This is the reason that i must do what i am doing. This is the reason that i have to go forward with this cause. This is why. Someone has to stand up for victims and stop the victimization beyond the abuse.
